Sgt. Robert Patrick SHORTELL 1819-1915 Army Hospital corps. He invented a wheeled stretcher support on springs for which he was awarded a Silver medal and a Bronze medal from the Emperor Napoleon III for services rendered. He died in Pound street Bitterne and is buried in the cemetery there.

William SINCLAIR was a Staff Surgeon and was buried in the cemetery on 4th May 1871. Chaplain W. Ponsford took the service.

Edward WILKINSON was believed to have been a Quarter Master in the British Medical Corps. Edward was serving at the Royal Victoria Hospital Netley, Southampton as a Sergeant in the Military Hospital in 1871 census.

He died in the West Indies in 1885 age 37.
