Beatrice Perrot Album

Back in December 2020, reporter John Cooper asked me for help with a feature he was writing for Wales Online about the Welsh Hospital. He wanted postcard photos and news clippings etc.
Well, I shared some items with him and the article was published in the Wales Online and South Wales Evening Post.
Luckily for me, Marion Williams read it and sent me a message:
"Dear Julie
I read the recent article in the Western Mail about the Welsh Hospital. I volunteer at Pontypool Museum as a librarian. A couple of years ago we were given an album of photos from the relatives of a nurse Beatrice Perrot who worked there from July 1916 - September 1917. There are photos of the hospital, patients, and staff and think there was also some information about her as well. At the moment the museum is in lockdown so I can’t check but I will look as soon as we get back. Hope this might be of some use to you."

Marion asked assistant curator Caitlin Gingell of the Torfaen Museum about the photos who kindly sent me copies to post here courtesy of ‘Torfaen Museum Trust Collection, Casgliad Ymddiriedolaeth Amgueddfa Torfaen’

Thank you, Marion and Caitlin.
